About Me
Hey, I'm Jamie, a 17 year old photographer and videographer based in Reading, UK. I have a passion for photographing and videoing nature and wildlife, both on the land and underwater.
My journey with a camera first started when I was around 14 after picking up a camera for the first time and taking it around the woods near my home. Over the past year, I have developed a deep interest in wildlife photography, stemming from a conservation expedition to Mexico, where I took a compact Olympus camera to photograph all of the wildlife in the areas we stayed in.
I'm a qualified scuba and free diver which has led me to experiment more with marine photography. I have discovered and photographed in amazing places such as Akumal, Mexico and Cornwall, UK - which can be seen in my "beneath the oceans surface" series.
The camera that I use for all of my land based photography is a Sony A7IV, usually paired with a Sony FE 200-600mm for all my wildlife shoots. In my earlier work, such as my Madeira travel video, and some of my earlier wildlife work, I used a Panasonic GH5 paired with either a 12-60mm or a 100-300mm. Instead of buying an expensive housing for my Sony, for my underwater work I use an Olympus TG7, which as well as high quality normal marine photography also allows for some underwater macro photography.
If you have any ideas, questions or just want to get in contact, feel free to do so!
